Waste Land Agriculture Development
UPHOLD NGO, a non-governmental organization, embarked on a noble initiative to uplift the marginalized PTG tribal communities by providing them with financial aid to develop wasteland in order to generate income. This project aimed at selecting a few hardworking individuals from each village who belonged to Below Poverty Line (BPL) category to work on barren land and transform it into a source of revenue.
The background of this project can be traced back to the challenges faced by the PTG tribal communities in accessing reliable sources of income. With limited resources and opportunities, many of them were struggling to make ends meet. Recognizing this dire need, UPHOLD NGO intervened to empower these deserving individuals by providing them with the necessary support and resources to develop the barren land in their villages.
The primary objective of this project was to enable the PTG tribal communities to not only create a sustainable source of income for themselves but also to improve their standard of living.
